Jackson's First Christmas

Christmas this year with Jackson was SO much fun!  He didn't really know what was going on, but I loved celebrating our first Christmas as a family of three.  I know it will only get better as he gets older!  My parents came to Little Rock for the week of Christmas, spending part of the week with us and the rest of the week with Hayley and Dunn.  It worked out perfectly that Jackson was able to stay home with my mom and Dad while Eric and I worked on Monday and Tuesday.  I know they loved getting to spend time loving on Baby J!  Christmas Eve night, Eric, Jackson, and I went to my sister's house for my family's Christmas dinner.  Every year, after Thanksgiving, everyone in my family picks a meal and dessert (and has to keep it a secret!) and then we draw for what we will eat for Christmas Eve dinner.  This has been a tradition in my family for years!  This year, Eric won the drawing with my mom's cashew chicken, egg drop soup, egg rolls, and crab rangoons, which were delicious!  We typically all stay together on Christmas Eve night so we can open presents on Christmas morning, but with Jackson, it was easier to go home this year.  Packing up everything he needs to stay away from home for one night is crazy!  We woke up early and headed back to my sister's house to open presents Christmas morning.  Jackson was all about helping everyone with their stockings and chewing on tissue paper and wrapping paper!  Although his grandparents were asked to keep presents at a minimum this year, this mama's requests were ignored and Jackson got WAY too many presents.  After opening presents with my family, we headed to Eric's parents' house to spend time with his family.  We ate a big Christmas lunch and opened more presents!  We had a great day and are so blessed to have such wonderful families!  Thankfully, I was on vacation Thursday and Friday and spent some much needed time with my sweet boy!

My boys!

Christmas morning!

Jackson and Zoe are checking each other out.

Everything goes to his mouth...even Mimi's candy!

He's helping Mimi out with her stocking.

Presents from Santa, Mimi & Popi, Aunt Hayley & Uncle Dunn, and mom & dad.  Due to the craziness of the rest of the day and evening, I wasn't able to get a picture of the presents his Peepaw & Meemaw got him, but he got a walker, Baby Einstein videos, a Broncos outfit (daddy's favorite gift!), some cereal, and ton of baby food.  This mama was most excited about the practical gifts...the formula, diapers, and baby food!  We are so very blessed!

Checking out his Baby Einstein movie from his Peepaw & Meemaw.
